GFA Suspends All Football Activities

The Ghana Football Association following the directives given by the President of the Republic on Sunday, March 15, 2020, has suspended all its competitions with immediate effect until further notice, ghanafa reports.
In a statement released last week, the GFA announced that while all competitions will go ahead as scheduled it will continue to liaise with Government, the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health and follow all national health protocols on the matter.
The Government of Ghana announced new protocols on Sunday and consequently the GFA will immediately follow the new issued protocols and guidelines.
The Association will continue to engage the relevant institutions on this matter and update its members and all stakeholders of any changes.
Government Partially Closes Borders; Bans Flights From Countries With Over 200 Cases Of Coronavirus
The government of Ghana has indicated that the borders of Ghana will be partially closed. This comes after the country recorded four new cases of Coronavirus taking the number of Coronavirus cases to six.
This means that the movement of people through our borders will be restricted and this has become very necessary in order to prevent the outbreak of the disease.
Ghana has recorded four new cases of the deadly Coronavirus taking the total number of cases to six.
This was revealed by the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie.
He added that all the cases were imported cases.

Last night was indeed an incredible day for actress and TV host Gloria Sarfo after she was announced the best supporting actress at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards held in Nigeria.
Prior to the pronouncement of the winner of the ‘most supporting actress’, she was heard chanting her name.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, she was heard mentioning her name with some of her colleagues in her mansion as they watch the program.
Lo and behold, she was pronounced the winner and she nearly smashed her phone during her jubilation. Gloria after being in the Ghanaian movie industry for over a decade has been battling for an award for her work done in the movie Industry and now she has it.
After a decade of no award in the Industry, she made it yesterday with ‘perfect picture’ movie as she was announced the best supporting actress at AMVCA.
Gloria beat Nigeria’s Toni Tones, Eucharia Anunobi, Tina Mba, Mary Lazarus who were nominated for their role in ‘King of Boys’, ‘The Foreigner’s God’, ‘The Set-Up’ and ‘Size 12’ respectively to win the award.
Even though she couldn’t make it to the actual event which took place in Nigeria, the actress held a watch and dine at her private home and had a few friends in attendance.
