The Ayahuasca Foundation was conceived in the spring of 2008 by Carlos Tanner, an American student of curanderismo. After living with a curandero for over four years, Carlos created a non-profit organization for individuals to not just get treatment in the healing tradition of Amazonian shamanism, but also to study the tradition and science of plant medicine, the way he had with his maestro. The Ayahuasca Foundation was developed from a craving to spread the wisdom and knowledge of Ayahuasca and plant medicine to the world.
