There are many ways of improving SEO but some are more difficult than others depending on the client. Here are a few tips to help with your more unique SEO projects.

In the modern era, everything comes back to search. Where people buy, who people listen to and what they actually want is all down to search and who they find through Google. We recently shared the top search statistics relating to health and these showed just how important it is to perfect your SEO strategy.
The following tips can help chiropractors to rank higher on Google and thus attract more patients and inquiries. With SEO, there is no perfect method and any method is going to take longer than other paid methods but the goal here is grow your audience cheaply, authentically and permanently. Once you turn off paid methods, you lose that traffic. If you do these methods consistently, you’ll be able to hang onto the uplift in traffic for far longer even if you let your standards slip for a month.

1. Use keyword-rich titles and descriptions.

Make sure your website's title and description include relevant keywords for your chiropractic practice. This will help your website rank higher in Google's search results when people search for those keywords.

2. Use keyword-rich content.

Your website's content should be rich in relevant keywords as well. Google favors websites with content that is relevant to the user's search. This means content that is needed by your base. A good way to get ideas for this is to create content around questions you often get asked by clients or things that often get asked in inquiries. This way, you are killing two birds with one stone and ensuring your content is always on-brand.

3. Optimize your website for mobile.

An all too common mistake made by that first starting out in the digital space is assuming that most visitors are accessing their site via a desktop or laptop browser. More and more people are using their mobile devices to search the internet and you’ll often find in your analytics that this is the most common way people are accessing your site. It's therefore important to make sure your website is optimised for mobile so that users can easily find and use your website on their mobile devices. If you notice your site is performing poorly with those on android or iPhone, there’s a good chance it’s down to the site’s lack of mobile accessibility.

4. Use Google My Business.

Google My Business is a free listing that allows you to control how your business appears on Google Maps and in Google's Local search results. Make sure your listing is complete and accurate, and include relevant keywords to help your listing rank higher. You can also post updates to your content, promoting offers, news as well as your site content if you wish to give it added visibility.

5. Get listed in directories.

There are many online directories that list businesses in specific categories. Getting your chiropractic practice listed in relevant directories can help you to rank higher in Google's search results. A lot of the key ones are free so this is available to everyone but if you want to reach a niche audience, you might consider getting a listing in a doctor listing service like TopDoctor. Due to the specific nature of the listing, these are often a premium offerings but they can provide key visibility and allow you to be competitive against local rivals.

6. Use social media.

Social media can be a great way to promote your chiropractic practice and attract new patients. While a social media presence won’t directly impact your SEO rankings, building up a link profile for your content that gains consistent engagement will help make your business more relevant and authoritative in chiropractic services. If your content is getting shared and viewed more, it often promotes a positive trend for that business and site in the search rankings.

7. Be specific about your service offering

While digital marketing has made your business far easier to find, it has also made your competitors. Quite often, you’ll find that the main decision point comes from how open and transparent your site is compared to your competitors. Treat your website like a product display, if chiropractic services were products. The more specific you can get with pricing, regimen, time frame, and so on, the better. It helps build trust with your customers and establishes exactly what they are paying for or seeking advice for. If you have a particular type of client in mind, aim your services in that direction. It might narrow your lead funnel but it’ll get you more of what you want.

8. Promote online reviews

Google relies on online reviews to judge if a business is worth appearing in a user’s search. Find ways to ask for reviews for your practice to build up social proof and get found on Google. You should also respond to those reviews, even if it’s just to say thank you. Google reports that consumers find businesses that respond to reviews 1.7x more trustworthy than those that ignore them. Also, if you do get a negative review, try to respond. Responding to a bad review speaks volumes about your business and your eagerness to improve your service and help every customer. You can’t please everyone but you can try to.
