Buoyed by overwhelming demand in West region, Honda records 50% sales growth YoY in Akshaya Tritiya

• Over 41,000 units sold in single day - almost 50% increase over last year
• Sentiment buying peaks in West region (over 60% growth) followed by Central India (over 30%)

Manesar, April , 2015: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), started the FY’2015-16 with a record-breaking sales performance during the auspicious AkshayaTritiya day.

Customer demand remained bullish for two-wheelers. With retails growing a massive over 60%, the West region led the all India retail tally on AkshayaTritiya.

Honda’s retail sales breached the 41,000mark on the day, with a growth of 50% over last year retails. At the same time overall Dream series (comprising of Dream Yuga, Dream NEO and CD 110 Dream) witnessed spectacular 55% rise in sales.
