With love from India, LOVE will open on 18th October and will practice it’s simple philosophy – prepare food with love, serve with love, treat guests with love in a loving environment.

Yorkton, SK, Canada, October 04, 2013 -- Yorkton is one of the fastest growing towns in Schskchwen and has population of over 20,000. It also gets over 100,000 people from surrounding small towns who shop at Wal-Mart, Superstore, Coop, Canadian Tire and other places. It has 7 hotels which welcome guests from all over Canada. Town has all kinds of foods, Greek, Italian, Chinese, Sushi, Pizzas but no East Indian restaurant. When BK’s Group initially conducted market surveys, it was found that people travel almost 100KMs to eat East Indian food and if they want to have a decent meal, they have to go to Regina or Saskatoon. BK, one of the founders, who is also an executive chef, decided to open an East Indian Fine Dining place in Yorkton. Finally opportunity came when THE YORK HOUSE became available as owners were retiring after 12 years of operating the The York House which served one of the finest Greek cuisines.

It was not an opportunity for BK only but challenge too, as 75% of Yorkton population has not tasted East Indian food even. But people were very supportive and everybody wanted to try the food. There was a great interest and this encouraged owners to take over approximate 6000 sq.ft The York House and now The York House is being converted in to LOVE-East Indian Cuisine. LOVE name was chosen over hundreds of Indian names because LOVE is a universal word and it coincides with BK’s philosophy. And it is simple. Make food with love, serve with love and treat your guests with love in a loving environment. After taking over in September, extensive renovations were being done to reflect the Indian theme in and outside. Hand carved unique wood pieces were exported from India & USA which are now being installed at the restaurant. Bk’s Group is making sure that ambiance must reflect Indian touch not only inside but outside too. Main entrance door is designed to reflect feel of India.

More than just a place to grab a bite, Love will be the complete dining experience. A waterfall will greet customers upon entering Love and in addition to public dining; there is a formal, private dining room option with personalized service from the chef himself. LOVE can seat over 150 guests and has also a banquet room for 30-40 people and a large lounge which will host most of the sport TV channels including NHL and has signed up with UFC to show all UFC fights starting 19th October, its first fight.

Food will be authentically cooked in a tandoori clay oven and despite what some may think, it will be mild enough for all to enjoy – unless of course a little more heat is requested. The menu will start out on a smaller scale, with only the most favorites ones and then it will expand as customers demand. All of the food will be prepared fresh and healthy using the highest quality ingredients and meat. LOVE will also serve some Halal meat dishes.

“This is a place where families can come enjoy authentic East Indian food without going to India. People can have their meetings here (Love is equipped with a full service board room), kids can have their birthday parties, couples can come have a romantic dinner in one corner. It will be full service dining experience.

Love is set to open October 18 at 11 a.m. for lunch. A dinner menu is slated from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
