The Global Transient Ischemic Attack Market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.08% during the forecast period 2017–2023.

Market Scenario:

The Global Transient Ischemic Attack Market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.08% during the forecast period 2017–2023. Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) is a neurological dysfunction that is caused due to loss of blood flow to the brain, retina, or the spinal cord region. The prime causes of transient ischemic attack are a loss of blood supply to the brain which may occur due to various reasons. For instance, when a blood vessel leaks blood into the brain or blockage of blood vessels. Generally, blood clots are formed in the blood vessel causing the blockage (thrombosis).

As per the guidelines issued from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Stroke Council, patients that experience Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) should undergo head imaging within 24 hours of symptom onset, preferably with magnetic resonance imaging, including diffusion sequences. MRI is a better imaging modality for diagnosis of TIA than Computed Tomography (CT).

Minimally invasive surgery has emerged as the most common method for treatment of different types of cardiac, respiratory, neurovascular, and gastrointestinal diseases, especially in developed countries. For instance, at University of Chicago Medicine, over 70% of the major cardiac and neurovascular resection surgeries are performed using minimally invasive techniques. The introduction of new and advanced catheters procedures has changed the diagnostic and treatment scenario of cardiovascular diseases, strokes, and other brain diseases.

Global Transient Ischemic Attack Market: Regional Segmentation:

In this report, the global transient ischemic attack market has been segmented into five key regions namely, North America, South America, Europe, Asia Pacific (APAC), and the Middle East & Africa (MEA). North America and South America collectively dominate the transient ischemic attack market owing to the high healthcare expenditure, growing demand for diagnosis of chronic diseases, and well-developed technology. Apart from these two regions, Europe and APAC are the two other important markets for TIA. The MEA holds the least share of the global transient ischemic attack market owing to the presence of several poor and slow developing third-world countries in Africa.
