Unfortunately, Google App has stopped Working Error

Google app not working how to fix this issue using some effect.

 
Method #1: Clear the Cache & Try Again

Cache is a storage location where the repeatedly accessed data is stored. There is possibility that if you clear the cached data for an app the issue might get fixed.

Steps to clear the cache and fix “Unfortunately, has stopped”

Step #1: Open Settings app on your Android device.

Step #2: Scroll down and search the “Apps” as shown in the above image.

Step #3: Scroll down to look for the desired app and hit on it.

Step #4: Hit on “Storage option“.

Step #5: You will get two options as – “CLEAR DATA” and “CLEAR CACHE“. Hit on “CLEAR CACHE“. CLEAR DATA is for different purpose. After clearing the cached storage data, re-launch the app. You might have fixed “Unfortunately, has stopped” error. If the issue still persists, then follow the next method.

Method #2: Reset the Application

If clearing the cache didn’t work, then you need to reset your app in order to fix the error.

Note: Clearing data would delete your entire app’s data, information, and reset the settings of the app. So if you don’t have the backup of your app data then perform a backup of the required data.  

Steps to clear App data and fix “Unfortunately, has stopped” error

Step #1: Open Settings app on your Android device.

Step #2: Scroll down and search “Apps” as shown in the above image.

Step #3: Scroll down to look for the desired app and hit on it.

Step #4: Now hit on “Storage option“.

Step #5: You will get two options as – “CLEAR DATA” and “CLEAR CACHE“. Hit on “CLEAR DATA“.

After this re-launch your application, it will ask you to re-enter your credentials in order to sign in again. Hope this solves the issue but if the issue still persists then follow below steps.

Method #3: Reinstall or Update the application



You can try uninstalling or updating the app to fix “Unfortunately, has stopped” error. Reinstalling is not much different than clearing the app’s data, but it seems to work most of the time.

Update your app at the Google Play Store.

Method 4: Wipe cache partition from Recovery Mode



This method has worked for many users. Here you just need to wipe the cache partition and see whether the error is fixed or not. To do so follow:

First turn off the phone >> Pressing volume up and power button together to enter into the Recovery Mode. (For some phone the volume key differ so try pressing volume Up and Down with power button at the same time to get into Recovery Mode).
After entering into Recovery Mode you will find many options >> use volume up and down to control the screen and your power button to press ok.
Choose wipe cache partition >> press the power button and it will begin clearing the cache.
After completion of clearing the cache >> Select reboot system now.
Your device has successfully wiped out the cache and now you can use your device like previously without any error. This process can erase the app data like  save game, high score etc.

Method 5: Remove unwanted launcher



Sometime you face this sort of error due to more launcher. If your device have more launcher then it is better to remove those unwanted launcher from your device. Use your default launcher:

Move to Setting >> Application Manager (Apps) >> All
Choose launcher >>Hit on the option Uninstall
Also, Move to default launcher and clear the data.
Now reboot your android device.
Hope this method fix unfortunately app has stopped error.

Method #6: Perform Factory Reset
After trying all the above method to fix the issue its time to drop the bomb to get rid of unfortunately app has stopped error. The only option left with you is to perform a factory reset. However we don’t recommend you doing this until you have complete backup of your data.

Step #1: Open Settings menu on your Android device.

Step #2: Scroll down to search “Backup & Reset” option.

Step #3: Hit on “Factory Reset“. Now you will find the on-screen instructions. Follow it to reset your phone.
