Bangladesh Forms an interim government.

Three days after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is set to have a new interim government. Anticipated to be composed of 15 members, Professor Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel laureate, will head the new government. General Waker-uz-Zaman, the Chief of Army Staff in Bangladesh, announced this and said that an interim government inauguration ceremony would be held on Thursday at 8:00 pm, and roughly 400 dignitaries were expected to attend.

The general offered that the army extends all its support to Yunus in steering the governance process. While it was mentioned by the Chief of Army Staff that there would be fifteen members in the interim government at first, aside from Yunus, none of their names were mentioned. More information about how long the interim government would last or what direction this country would take politically also needed to be provided. However, he stated that things had already gone beyond control, and within the next three to four days, everything would return to normalcy.
