Noted vitreoretinal surgeon Dr. Steve Charles will attend the Celebrate Retina Celebrate Life (CRCL) event via teleconference. The event to be held at Sahara Star Hotel, Mumbai, from May 15-17, 2015, will witness a galaxy of ophthalmologists and retinal specialists from all over the world. Dr. Charles will be present on 16th May from 9 am to 10:30 am.

Dr. Charles is one of the leading vitreoretinal surgeons in the world. The techniques and devices invented by him are used worldwide. He has lectured in 50 countries and has performed over 34,000 vitreoretinal surgeries. An author of over 174 articles in medical literature Dr. Charles is the editor of eMedicine. A Hall of fame of the University Of Miami School Of Medicine Medical Alumni Association, Dr. Charles has over 150 issued or pending patents.

Dr. Charles is a consultant for Alcon Laboratories and the founder of Charles Retina Institute and MicroDexterity Systems. A Chairman and Co-founder of CamPlex Inc, Dr. Charles is on the board of Zeroto510, a Memphis-based medical device speed capital company.

Celebrate Retina Celebrate Life is being hosted and co-organized by Aditya Jyot Institute of Vision Science, Retina Eye Care Hospital Pvt Ltd and Retina Foundation. The event is a tribute to Dr. S.
