It takes more than just doing that, one will need to have a distinct character which everyone can notice by just looking at the person. When one is about to give a public speech, then one is doing his or her research in a fresh approach and in an honest manner. While giving a speech, one can pretend to play a role or fool the audience. But what one can do is convince the audience with the character that one has built.
