Founded by Dr. Shradha Goel, chief eye surgeon with more than 15 years of experience in performing Phaco-Lasik surgeries, Arohi Eye Hospital has a team of many eye specialists with rich experience and expertise at treating various eye disorders. To name a few, Dr. Shalomith Uppapalli is an eye surgeon with 5 years of experience in treating corneal diseases, and Dr. Asmita Saha is a vitreo retinal surgeon with expertise in treating retinal and posterior chamber diseases.

Adding to this incredible team of eye doctors is Dr. Pooja Ghodke, who is an experienced paediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon. She holds an MBBS, MS Ophthal, DNB Ophthal, and Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, thus a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor in her speciality. She completed her MBBS from the Government Medical College in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She then went on to pursue her Masters in Ophthalmology from the same college, where she not only achieved her degree, but also earned a GOLD MEDAL for securing first rank in the entire state of Maharashtra! She then served her Government bond at Municipal Eye Hospital, which is the only BMC-run hospital that specializes in eye care. Adding to this, she also earned a second degree in ophthalmology – DNB Ophthalmology.
However, all these degrees and accomplishments didn’t stop her! She went on to pursue a 3 year long fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Services from the world’s largest eye care facility – Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya in the Chitrakoot town of Madhya Pradesh. She was able to accomplish this with her passion to dedicate in the field of child eye care, and the able guidance of her mentor, Dr. Pradhnya Sen. Dr. Pooja served in the remotest areas of India through camps, where she conducted more than 100 squint surgeries, more than 100 paediatric cataracts, and multiple complex paediatric corneal and oculoplastic surgeries. She further completed her research project Ologen in Pediatric Glaucomas, and Fellowship at the International Council of Ophthtalmology in the UK, which is equivalent to FRCOphth standards.
With so much on her accomplishments list, there seems to be no doubt that she will prove to be one of the most competent doctors in Mumbai, and another feather in Arohi Eye Hospital’s cap.
