A total of 12 million people participate in paintball, making it the world's third most popular extreme sport at the moment.

Paintball is a sport that is enjoyed by millions of men and women of all ages and walks of life in more than 40 nations. Paintball goods get more searches on Ebay than any other sports offering, with expenditure on paintball equipment and accessories exceeding $225 million each year, according to the site. Paintball games players, whether they are housewives or high school students, professionals or retirees, they have a passion for adventure and a fierce sense of competition in common.

Capture the Flag is a popular game

A paintball game is a mix of the childhood games "tag" and "hide and seek," but it is much more difficult and complex. Despite the fact that there are many alternative game forms, the most common is for a group of players to split into two teams and play a game of "capture the flag." The number of players on each team in the NPPL may vary, although there are a maximum of 7 players permitted on each side of the field throughout the competition.
The goal of the game is to go out and grab the flag of the other team while simultaneously defending your own. At the same time you are trying to capture a flag, you are simultaneously attempting to remove other players by spraying them with paintballs that are fired from a special airgun known as a "marker." Games are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

While waiting between games, participants inspect their equipment, replenish paintball supplies, and enjoy a snack or drink while exchanging tales about the joys of triumph and the typically amusing agonies of loss. Whether you win or lose, everyone has a wonderful time, and there's always the next game to look forward to.

Colored liquid is contained inside a spherical, thin-skinned gelatin capsule, which is known as a paintball. Paintballs resemble big spherical vitamin capsules or bath oil beads in their appearance. The filler used in paintballs is non-toxic, non-caustic, water-soluble, and biodegradable, according to the manufacturer. It is easily removed off clothes and skin with moderate soap and water, and it is also edible, but we do not suggest it!

Paintballs are available in a variety of vibrant hues, including blue, pink, white, orange, yellow, and more. When a paintball tags a player, the thin gelatin skin breaks apart, releasing the liquid within, which creates a brilliant "paint" mark on the player's clothing. A player who has been marked is automatically removed from the game.

Paintball guns, often known as "markers," are available in a range of sizes, shapes, and colours. Carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2), or compressed air may be used to power these devices. Many models feature power systems that utilise huge refillable cylinders, referred to as "tanks" or "bottles," that may be used to fire hundreds of rounds before having to be replenished. Some people utilise tiny 12 gramme CO2 powerlets as their power source, with each powerlet providing between 15 and 30 shots per powerlet.
