How the Quality of Printing Matters for You

The kitchen, the bathroom and any location within reach of a young child or a pet are often fatal to laptops. Also, avoid leaving your laptop on the floor, where it is most likely to suffer damage.

Whenever possible, avoid tropical environments (hammam), arid deserts (sauna) and icy steppes (cold rooms), as well as boats (roller coasters and showers). Your laptop is expected to run approximately between 10 and 35 degrees Celsius (except specifically adapted models). If your laptop is too hot or too cold, do not use it, allow it to warm to a warm temperature before starting it.

Never expose your laptop directly to direct sunlight.
Be careful not to obstruct or plug the vents (ventilation holes) of your notebook.
Do not put anything heavy on your laptop (also avoid sitting on it if possible).
Do not expose your laptop to strong magnetic fields (magnets, electromagnets ...), these damage the information on your hard drive and can even completely erase them in the worst case.

If you spill liquid on your keyboard here is the procedure to follow:
- Shut down your computer immediately (then remove the battery if it can be done quickly).
- Place a towel or any cloth or paper towel on the keyboard (your neighbor's sweater if you have no other choice).
- Turn your laptop over by holding the absorbent cloth in place so that it drinks the spilled liquid.
- Let it dry
- Replace the battery and try to turn on your laptop again.

Avoid using your laptop on your lap or on soft surfaces that could interfere with its cooling and ventilation (blankets, duvets ...).
Also avoid using it on a carpet, next to a pet or any other dusty environment. These dusts eventually create overheating by plugging the vents and blocking the fans on your laptop.

As much as possible, never put your fingers, hands, or any other part of your body on the LCD screen of your notebook. The grease and the natural transpiration of the skin leave traces difficult to erase or permanent, especially once they have dried. Obviously this advice does not apply if you have a laptop with a touch screen. For the proper PrintingĀ in Sydney this is a very important matter for you.

Never touch the mechanism or lens of your optical drive (CD or DVD) and check that the drives are in place before closing the tray. Also check that your discs are not too dusty, covered with grease or sticky substances (butter and jam) that could clog your lens and hinder or permanently prevent playback.
