Argil- Company background
Shri Amarshi bhai was working in the factory when he saw a heap of Mangalore roof tiles which were manufactures in Mangalore only. Mangalore roof tiles main ingredient was Black and Red clay which was available in abundance in Morbi.
Availability of raw materials and technical knowledge encouraged him to start his own production of roofing tiles.
He returned to Morbi to set up his own manufacturing unit. Initially he was not successful as he could not design the best product and was unable to set up a system for mass production of tiles. As trained manpower was available in Morbi.
The company was launched as Prajapat tiles in 1952. Due to high demand of Mangalore tiles and it was one of the best manufacturing unit, 100% production was sold.
Today the company has become the leading quartz manufacturers in India as it is producing an ISO certified product.
