Various departments at ARCH college of Design and Business held juries to judge students based on their performance in the semester. The juries were held from 26-29 December 2017 at the campus of institute situated at Malviya Nagar in Jaipur. ARCH offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the field of Fashion, Interior, Jewellery, Design Communications, Graphics and Product Design etc.
The juries were sub-divided into internal and external juries. Members of the Internal jury were the faculty of ARCH whereas the External jury comprised of eminent experts from their respective fields. Jury measured the students' work in terms of efficiency and accuracy and gave them tips for the fulfillment of latest trends and different styles of design. Students were also given conceptual knowledge to enable them to transform themselves to suit the changing needs of the industry. They also looked at the work of students from 'hiring and placement' point of view.
Miss Neelam Saroj, who is the Head of Designers at Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers. Mrs. Anju Jain who is the co-founder and owner of her own jewellery brand 'Exquisite Fine Jewellery', Jeremy Fritzhand who is the founder and CEO of ‘Studio Bagru’, Aanchal Ahuja from ‘Ahuja Overseas’ and Charul Agarwal who is owner at ‘Aman Exports’ were a few eminent members of external jury.
A theme based fashion show was also a part of the process. Students of the institute went to the City Palace and Albert Museum to look out for an object of inspiration and create wearables based on that object. Contextual and Cultural Referencing in Art and Design was their point of view while they visited these places of historic interests. The wearables based on those inspirations were worn by models during the fashion show.
Kevin Patidar, Raghav Agarwal, Shraddha Bajaj and Muskan Rathi were among students who did a fascinating work. Overall, the jury was an enriching and insightful experience for students of ARCH as it brought out the best in these budding designers.
