Up until the final draw on August 31, there was an increase of 250 candidates receiving ITAs. Using Express Entry, Canada has admitted 40,785 immigrants thus far this year. Comparing this year to last, there have been two times as many invitations to apply. With more resurrected candidates, there is a higher chance that the IRCC target of 108,500 applicants using the Express Entry system in 2021 will be met.

On September 14; 3,250 invitations to apply were given by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) following the sixth Express Entry draw since all program draws resumed on July 6.

With more invites issued, there is a greater chance of exceeding the IRCC target of 108,500 applicants through the Express Entry system in 2021.

By the end of 2022, Canada will welcome more immigrants than its current annual record of 405 330, according to Immigration Minister Sean Fraser. By the end of June, Canada had granted permanent residency to more than 300,000 new citizens. Using Express Entry, Canada has admitted 40,785 immigrants thus far this year.
