Edinburgh city centre apartments are a good deal more expensive to let than Edinburgh apartments in other parts of the city. Most people do not understand the price discrepancies between Edinburgh city centre apartments and Edinburgh apartments.

The architecture that exists on Edinburgh city centre apartments is that of the classic old architecture that makes this portion of the city look and feel like the medieval period in which the majority of these old structures were created. The antiquity of the structures adds to the ambience of the surroundings and this increases the price that renters have to pay to let one of the Edinburgh apartments located here.

The area that has the Edinburgh city centre apartments is actually a small area and the less space that a place has the more it costs to inhabit sections within it. This part of the town is called the Old Town portion of the city and this is because it was actually erected more than six hundred and fifty years ago. This is why the alleys in this area are so small and the streets are very narrow. The streets are also not laid out symmetrically in this portion of the city, but this is the part of town that has the largest number of tourist attractions and that makes everything inside this small area higher in price than things outside this area are.

Some people prefer to rent places that are north of Princess Street in the area known as the new part of the city. Do not by any means think that the word new refers to a place that has been constructed recently. The new section of this city is actually more than two hundred years of age. The new section was actually constructed so that there would be more residential areas of the town, and so the residences would be removed from the hub of the working portion of town.

The new part did not stay residential though. You will find that on the streets that are north of Princess Street there are a lot of banks, there are a lot of shops and boutiques, there are a lot of offices and structures for offices, and there are other professional and commercial properties doing a thriving business. Most of the people, who want to rent Edinburgh apartments and stay away from the busy tourist district, or the busy commercial district located north of Princess Street, are moving to the outskirts and edges of town.

When you go to the outskirts of a community to establish a domicile you will find the prices are much more reasonable. This is because the person that lives in these homes will need to travel farther to get to work or get to shopping plazas and tourist attractions. You will find that you can rent a place that is a lot larger than what you could rent inside Old Town for the same amount of money. You will just need to travel more to do the things you need to do in the city.
The Edinburgh apartments http://www.festivalapartments.com/edinburgh-apartments.php that people most frequently want to rent are the Edinburgh city centre apartments http://www.festivalapartments.com/edinburgh_city_centre_apartments.php . The problem with these dwellings is the fact that they are more expensive to rent than their counterparts that are located outside of town.
