I Am Their Voice: A Guide for Caregivers and Advocates is a powerful guide that offers insight, support, and inspiration for those navigating the challenges of caregiving.

About the Book:
I Am Their Voice: A Guide for Caregivers and Advocates is a poignant and empowering exploration of a younger sister’s journey as she navigates the challenges of caring for her older brother, diagnosed with early-onset dementia in his 50s, and her 80-year-old mother, a lifelong nurturer now in need of care herself. With heartfelt storytelling and candid reflections, the book delves into the emotional toll, shifting family dynamics, and personal sacrifices of caregiving.
Beyond the personal narrative, this book offers readers the invaluable benefit of learning from others’ experiences—both mistakes and successes—emphasizing the importance of shared resources and community support to reduce the need to reinvent the wheel. Packed with practical insights, uplifting anecdotes, and words of inspiration, I Am Their Voice compels readers to find strength in shared knowledge and take away lessons that can guide them on their own caregiving paths. This is a must-read for anyone seeking understanding, solidarity, and hope in the caregiving journey.

About the Author:
Julie Moore, a retired U.S. Army veteran with 30 years of service, is now adding author to her list of accomplishments. Drawing from her experience as a caregiver for her brother and mother, she shares the often-overlooked challenges caregivers face daily. With a Master of Science in Performance Improvement and roles as an Inspector General and Chief Instructor, Julie applies her skills to her toughest mission yet—family care. Now based in Southwest Florida, she runs a mobile notary business and starts each day with a 5 a.m. workout, staying true to the Army motto: “She does more before 9 a.m. than most do all day.”

What People are Saying:
I Am Their Voice is a must-read for adults with aging or suddenly incapacitated or disabled loved ones – whether they be parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, children, grandchildren, other relatives, friends, and neighbors. This book would also be very illuminating for the various professionals who service caregivers or patients, such as, attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, counselors, parish nurses, clergy personnel, care managers, nurses, home health aides, social workers, etc. Personally, this book made me laugh and cry. It was both educational and cathartic, resonating deeply with my own experiences as a caregiver.
