The overlooked secret of success & strong relationship with clients: Listening

We have been and will always be considering ‘listening to our clients carefully’ as the secret behind conducting successful branding campaigns. Listening carefully has always been and will always be our priority.

 
Rahim told his wife Jenny, “Get my bag, we are going out for coffee and…” Before Rahim could complete, Jenny interrupted while going into the bedroom, “We will have Caramel Frappe today. Not at CCD, we will go to Starbucks this time.” Then she fetched his bag and was astonished to see a blank expression on his face instead of a thank you out of his mouth. She said, “You’re welcome”. He replied, “The wallet was in the cupboard and I wanted to fetch that too.” Exasperated and unwilling, she retorted, “I am not going again. You go and fetch it now.” Anguished at the reply, Rahim rushed to the bedroom, saying, “Why don’t you let me finish? You just want to reply, talk, and never listen. And I wanted the black bag, not this brown one.” Now guess, what will be their mood while going to a coffee shop? Definitely, not a cheerful one.

This argument would have been avoided with listening carefully & attentively instead of replying in haste and suggesting something. This is an everyday life example in which not listening carefully led to misunderstanding. This misunderstanding is toxic for relationships. Listening to others is significant to build a strong relationship. Else, there will a possibility of missing on something.
