Pune: Two companies and their directors have been ordered to refund Rs 21 lakh with seven per cent interest since 2014, as they failed to give possession of two row houses at ‘The Hamlet-Theur’ after taking the amount.

Jayshree Joglekar of Pashan had moved the forum against Dipak Digambar Naik, Nilesh Dipak Naik, M/s Naik Environment Research Institute Ltd, Kothrud and The Hamlet Theur.

Pune: Two companies and their directors have been ordered to refund Rs 21 lakh with seven per cent interest since 2014, as they failed to give possession of two row houses at ‘The Hamlet-Theur’ after taking the amount.

Jayshree Joglekar of Pashan had moved the forum against Dipak Digambar Naik, Nilesh Dipak Naik, M/s Naik Environment Research Institute Ltd, Kothrud and The Hamlet Theur.

In December 2013, Joglekar had signed an agreement with the builder for buying two row houses (each costing Rs 18 lakh). She had paid Rs 10.5 lakh for each of the row house and she was promised possession by December 2015. However, she didn’t get the possession. She moved the forum after the builder sent her email saying he will return the amount.

However, the builder didn’t submit written statement before the forum which then ordered the companies and the builders to refund the amount with seven per cent interest. They were also asked to pay compensation of Rs 26,000 for harassment and legal cost.
