Andrew Nardo Celebrates Work With United Way Young Leaders Society

Andrew Nardo is a philanthropist who donates his time and money to supporting literacy projects through the Dallas, Texas United Way.

 
Andrew Nardo has always been someone who gives back to his community. In his adopted hometown of Dallas, Texas, that primarily takes the form of his volunteer work with the local chapter of the United Way. Andrew Nardo is a member of the United Way’s Young Leaders Society, an organization that supports many local volunteer services while also offering opportunities for its philanthropically minded members to network with each other.

In order to become a member of the United Way’s Young Leaders Society, Andrew Nardo makes an annual gift of at least $1000. This gift goes to support the work of the United Way in the community. Some of the central projects that the United Way’s Young Leader Society has worked on include assembling family literacy packets that non-English speaking parents use to help their children with homework, and making audio-recording of books for the blind and visually impaired. Alongside the various-literacy based volunteer activities, the organization also runs networking activities that allow Andrew Nardo to meet other members of the Young Leaders Society community.

The Young Leaders Society is just one of many United Way affinity groups. Andrew Nardo currently qualifies for this group, which is focused on members under the age of 45. Other affinity groups include the Women’s Leadership Council, the Latino Leadership Initiative, and the African American Leadership Society. Andrew Nardo is proud to be a young leader in his community and he has always gotten great satisfaction out of volunteering and giving back to his community.

For Andrew Nardo, his work with the Young Leaders Society is part of making Dallas his home. Andrew Nardo hails from Libertyville, Illinois and arrived in Dallas by way of Greenpoint, Indiana where he attended DePauw University. Andrew Nardo has been living in Dallas for the past thirteen years now and he has been giving back to the community nearly as long. Andrew Nardo is proud that he can make a sustaining gift to the United Way that helps it to continue to offer services to those in need. As a leadership giver, Andrew Nardo is one 6,000 North Texans who are actively working to expand the work of the United Way.
