Jeff Whippo examines the failure of socialism. He claims that it is an imperfect system founded on wholly incorrect ideas that are incompatible with human nature and incapable of fostering the human spirit.
Socialism has failed everywhere it has been tried, from the Soviet Union a century ago to three contemporary nations that tried it but ultimately rejected it: Israel, India, and the United Kingdom. Socialism does not generate income because it eliminates the market functions of private property. Because private ownership of the means of production is eliminated, capital commodities do not have market pricing.
Jeff Whippo goes on to say that socialism fails because it has a number of basic flaws in its design. It destroys markets and private property, which means it destroys reasoned calculation. Additionally, because it permits soft budgets, there is no system in place to eliminate ineffective manufacturing techniques. Furthermore, because it undermines the market functions of private property, it is unable to bring wealth.
The fall of socialism led to a worldwide revival of freedom and liberty. The day will soon come when most people on the planet will live in free societies or nations rapidly moving toward independence for the first time in human history.
Concerning Jeffery Whippo
Jeff Whippo adds that socialists disregard scarcity, which is another one of its drawbacks. According to him, the deceptive promise of socialism is to "give up a bit of your freedom, and I will give you a little more security." The history of this century has demonstrated that while the deal is tempting, it never materializes. Eventually, we lose our security and our freedom.
