The problem of one's own laziness today is one of the main for a lot of people who want to change their lives, including for the author of these lines. A huge number of interesting and useful projects have not been completed or even started for minor reasons.

If to try to generalize, all these reasons will have one name - laziness. The truth of the problem is not laziness in and of itself, but its manifestations are internal barriers and psychological clamps that poison a person's life. Only overcoming these barriers can help something radically shift from a place.
The phenomenon of internal barriers is very paradoxical.

At the biological level, the barrier is designed to implement a protective mechanism. Once hitting a hot object, any person is unlikely to want to do it again. But when it comes to other actions, the formed barrier begins to get in the way. As a result, on the path to success and self-realization are internal mechanisms that are of a protective nature.

They block positive initiatives and do not allow to move only because once in the past negative experience was obtained. It's about like, once burned in a hot pot, never to the pots anymore to touch. And the most interesting is that the more intellectually developed a person is, the stronger these barriers are.
In general, the problem exists and it must be addressed in some way
Volitional methods are unlikely to help. And according to some psychologists, it's hard to get rid of barriers on your own. Nevertheless, there is one exercise that can at least somehow help. It is put into the standard form of the question.

It should be performed only in writing and, if possible, more than once. Written execution is mandatory here, as it involves several sensory channels and stores information for further use. For example, it is desirable to regularly review and repeat such records for the detection of new barriers and successful work with the detected ones. After completing the proposed exercise in the mind, any person will sooner or later forget about his results, and it will be difficult for him to take advantage of the accumulated experience.

In the first part of this exercise, you should choose a problem that internal barriers do not solve. This may be a reluctance to prepare for exams, play sports, or lack of desire to act to achieve some goals. A very positive effect will give a concretization of the problem. The more accurately it is formulated, and the more its focus, the higher the effect of the exercise.

So, if the exam is approaching, it is necessary to accurately indicate what subject it will be, what it is desirable to master, etc. Having formulated the problem, it remains to write down the question: "What prevents me from doing this and that?".

The second part of the exercise should be devoted to recording the answers to this question. The most honest and open should be put on paper came to mind thoughts. This is done exclusively for yourself, so it's worth to dig into yourself and find everything, even the most unpleasant moments.

The main goal of this exercise is to feel and see the internal barriers. They may not be the same as originally thought. At the same time, most barriers seem so ridiculous and insignificant that it will even be somewhat incomprehensible how they could restrain the movement. Of course, each barrier should be analyzed and tried to replace with something more useful, but even the fact of their detection will already serve a good service.

In conclusion, for example, several answers to the question: "What prevents to implement their projects?".

A constant search for a new, better project. In fact, the search for "Tablets". In the end, looking for the best, the good is discarded and the result is zero.

• Perfectionism. The desire to do everything perfectly and the fear of small failures does not allow learning and moving towards one's goals, hinders development.
• Fear of success. As a result of success, you will have to change your life abruptly and neglect many other undertakings. The result is the lack of any success.
• Fear is not good luck. Fear of hitting self-esteem. The result blows to vanity still pour, only because of inaction.
• Fear of necessity in the future of greater strains. The first good luck will force you to give up the usual life, which as a result will lead to big losses and problems.
• Fear of lack of knowledge. As a result of the work, one day it will turn out that it will gain knowledge and skills and the work will rise.
• A large number of projects. Many undertakings are superimposed on each other and do not allow us to realize anything.
• Fear of impact on health. A large amount of work that needs to be done will lead to health problems. In particular, the need to sit at the computer will hit the eye. Fear that the completion of one thing will lead to the need for another.
Most likely, this is not all, but only large fears lying on the surface. Nevertheless, after this exercise and its repetition in case of manifestations of unwillingness to do anything, not yet great, but already pleasant results have appeared.
