Brandon October to perform at Drostdy Theatre - 26 & 27 October

Singer and songwriter Brandon October will perform two shows at the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch on the 26 & 28 October.

The singer, who is known for singing some of the biggest songs by some of the biggest artists (think Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant then you get the idea) will be singing songs from his forth-coming album as well as what he calls, 'fan favourites'.

October will be supported by musician and composer Jaconell Mouton, guitarist and vocalist Hilandi Du Toit and Ane' Van Den Berg.

His guest artist for the shows will be close friend, iconic singer and songwriter Coenie De Villiers.

Fans will hear Brandon's take on rock classics like 'Smells like teen spirit' of Nirvana and AHA's 'Take on me'.

'Many of my musical influence come from the 80's. The high vocals, the big drums, screaming guitars, the whole lot. While writing for my new album I allowed myself to experiment more with those influences. I played around with synths, drum loops, atmospheric sounds, layered vocals with trippy-harmonies.
Even my lyrical style has changed.' says Brandon

The aptly titled show, Under an October Sky, will be a stripped down concert with more of an acoustic offering. Audiences will get the chance to hear and experience Brandon in the intimate 200-seater setting of the Drostdy Theatre.

Tickets are available at Computicket.
