DALLAS, Texas — Jan. 12, 2021 — America’s Future Series is proud to announce the debut episode of the “Space Talks with Z” podcast to air on Jan. 14, featuring Congressman Ruben Gallego, Lt. Gen. Harry Raduege, and Maj. Gen. Lee Levy. Zaheer Ali, host of “Space Talks with Z,” moderates the interview with Lt. Gen. Raduege, Maj. Gen. Levy, and Congressman Ruben Gallego.

Gallego presents the importance of a stronger overall plan for space force involvement at a governmental and policy level. The new modern day space race has vastly changed from the 1950s where the United States had won due to its heavy investment in public education within math and science and sourced the smartest immigrants.

“We need a stronger overall space plan,” said Congressman Ruben Gallego. “If we don't make moves into it, China will.” The United States needs a whole government approach instead of singular military and commercial entities focusing on space. Gallego stresses the importance of Space competitiveness by partnering with other countries and helping them get into the space conversations which could create valuable allies and coalitions in unifying against the Chinese pressures.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with many.” said Maj. Gen. Levy.

The podcast dives into where the United States falls today in the Space Race, what is lacking in terms of military and commercial laws or space mandates, the importance of competitiveness with other countries, and how brain power is just as important as chip power.
