American Airlines is now issuing electronic refunds on domestic flights

You are more likely to be able to change your itinerary than an American Airlines Refund. Airlines will only give refunds for reasons they created or perhaps were a natural disaster.

Frequent passengers of American Airlines have certainly suffered the carrier's paper vouchers. Infamous for using their difficulty and ease to lose, paper vouchers are a restriction of travelers everywhere.

Issued for everything from involuntary seat bumps to reimbursement change fees issued, these documents are in vogue with American. Now, at least, domestic customers can breathe a sigh of relief, as the airline has started issuing some electronic refunds through its website as stated in the first report by View the Wing, people flying within 50 US states, Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands are eligible for these digital American Airlines Refunds.

Unfortunately, it appears that people going on international travel are still receiving paper vouchers. To capitalize on these, customers either need to go to an actual airport to buy tickets or mail in their vouchers and hope they are not lost.

The move is one of a series that American has made this year to change its policies, including an expanded Economy Web special and the ability to book more Partner Awards online.
