Students, from 10th standard onwards, are often told to focus on their career and start thinking about their future. They choose their streams usually among Science, Commerce, and Arts and after two years, commerce students find themselves at crossroads which course to further pursue in graduation. There are several management colleges in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, and in many other cities in India that offer promising undergraduate management courses. Among those, many are a few most popular that students mostly prefer which we have listed down below for your reference. Have a look:
-Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
This 3-year undergraduate course can be pursued by 12th students of Science, Commerce, Arts stream. BBA is a professional degree, unlike other undergraduate management courses after which many students take up an MBA (Master of Business Administration) program. Many BBA colleges also offer opportunities to students to specialize in different fields like Corporate Management, International Business, etc. Both private and government colleges and universities offer this course. Private sector companies and MNCs recruit BBA graduates for roles like Management trainees etc.
-Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
B.Com is a full-time undergraduate degree course which most students prefer to go for after completing their studies in school. Like other undergraduate courses, this also spans over 3 years and covers subjects like Financial Management, Micro-Macro Economics, Cost and Accounting, etc. Many universities also provide correspondence courses or distance learning programs for the same degree.
-Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
This management course became much-hyped a few years ago. BMS is designed in such a manner that it focuses on imparting both theoretical and practical training to develop managerial and leadership skills in students. Some colleges also renamed their BBA courses as BMS programs. After this too, one can do their post graduation in Business Administration or MBA.
-Bachelor of Business Economics (BBE)
As the name suggests, Bachelor of Business Economics is a 3-year course with main focus laid on Economics. Along with this, the emphasis is also given to elements of business studies. Though students of any stream with English and Maths as their core subjects can pursue this course, it is advisable for Commerce and Arts students more. Post this, students can also go for Advanced BBE programs or pursue a Masters in the same field.
There are several colleges that run BBA courses in Pune or anywhere else across the country, and offer diverse opportunities in other programs as well. There is no best course per se, it all depends upon your interests. Any course that caters to your interest becomes the best course for you.
