Punjab is the very well renown state of India which is very popular for its culture, religion, gurudwaras, wildlife as well for its handicraft and art. In India, Punjab is the second largest agriculture provider in India. Punjab is famous for different type handicraft work like -

Wood work is the most famous work of Punjabi handicrafts. Many bed with floral designs and designs are very famous for wood work. The decorative boxes, toys, pidhis are made of wood work which is very famous in whole of the NCR region.
Phulkari work is generally found in women of rural areas. It is generally done in the form of flower work which is done on the shawls, clothes, carpets, dupattas and quilts. The smaller size of stitches in this kind of work is generally considered good.
The durry work of Punjab is also very famous. These are the flat woven rugs which are very striking in nature because of they are considered as the mixture of artistic designs. The designs of animals, birds and flowers are also made on these durries and are used for marriage and other occasional issues.
Mud work is also very famous in Punjab. This is generally used in making utensils and surahis. It is generally made up of clay and mud. They are generally used in also painting of the walls and floors of the house.
Punjabi weaving is also very famous in whole of the world. In this scenario the weaving work is done by using the needle work or yarn. It is generally done in PUnjabi Villages. The punjabi work of silver and golden threads on the jutis is also very famous nationwide.
Besides all of this the punjab is also very famous for its Jutis with its whole intricate designs and patterns. Other states like Rajasthan and Haryana also come in this category.
