Marine Windlass classification:Electric windlass, hydraulic windlass, steam windlass.Electric windlass: when the clutch is off, the spindle and reel turn while the sprocket does not turn, for anchoring;When the clutch is closed, the reel and sprocket are turned simultaneously for anchor lifting. Hydraulic windlass: composed of motor, main oil pump, auxiliary oil pump, oil tank, high pressure oil pipe, control valve, load shaft, sprocket, clutch, brake, reel and so on.Principle: motor drives oil pump, high pressure oil drives oil motor, oil motor drives mechanism rotation.Features: compact structure, small size, stable rotation, stepless speed regulation, but manufacturing technology and maintenance requirements.Steam windlass: driven by steam engine.Characteristic: power is big, the structure is simple, but want to warm crock first before using, want drainage, exhaust after using, extremely inconvenient, already was eliminated.
Main technical requirements of marine windlass:
Driven by a separate prime mover or motor.If the hydraulic piping of the hydraulic windlass is connected with the piping of other deck machinery, the normal operation of the windlass shall not be affected.
When an anchor is lifted from a depth of 82.5m to a depth of 27.5m at an average speed of not less than 9m/min, the windlass should be able to work continuously for 30min.
Themarinewindlass should be able to work continuously for 2min under the action of overload tension (no speed is required). The overload tension should not be less than 1.5 times of the working load.
