The Arya Samaj is a temple dedicated to Goddess Arya, the Hindu god of knowledge. It is located at Ratnagiri in Gujarat and the name is derived from Sanskrit meaning, 'one seeking knowledge'. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Arya by her consort Swarjika and Lord Brahma. This is also where the Brahma Temple is located.

The temple is a seven-century old structure and still stands and is well preserved. The structure is located on a hill known as Benachity where it has been kept hidden from visitors for centuries. This is also where the Brahma Temple is located. The temple is built of clay and within it are many carved stones and images depicting the goddess of knowledge. These are referred to as the "Chandras" or holystones.

The Mandir that is located near the entrance has many names such as Chandralani mandir, Gudichari mandir, and Jain mandir. There are small shops located near the entrance of the Mandir where one can purchase things required for prayers. One of these is the "Khaira ji" or holy thread. This is a religious thread used by people of the Hindu community to worship Goddess Arya. The "Svadhyaya" or the holy rope is used by most Hindus in India to worship the Mother Goddess.

The Goddess of knowledge lies in close proximity to the Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva. It is believed that she was born from the cosmic egg of the sky. After her miraculous birth, she went to earth to live among human beings and to learn about human life and its follies. Here, she developed the philosophy of righteousness and compassion which is the mainstay of the teachings of the Lord Brahma.
