FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Retorno is pleased to announce the establishment of Elah – a detoxification center for young women and girls suffering from addiction, ranging in age from 14 to 25. It is the only program of its kind in all of Israel, and one of the only centers like it in the world.

For 25 years, Retorno has been bringing freedom from addiction to addicts all over the world. Young and old, men and women, rich and poor… just as addiction can be found in every community and every demographic, so, too, has Retorno given new life and new freedom to over a thousand individuals – and over a thousand families.

The goal of Retorno’s detox program at Elah, which lasts from one to three months, is to create a safe haven for troubled young women, and provide a short-term, intensive treatment that will motivate change in the addict’s lifestyle. Elah’s care includes medical and emotional healing, individual and group therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and sports. The detox facility is the first step to recovery from addiction and will allow patients to continue their treatment through Retorno’s inpatient rehab programs, or at other facilities when necessary. Retorno is committed to help anyone in need, and provide a loving, safe, protective environment to ensure a quick and effective recovery.

Retorno celebrates important milestones!
This year marks Retorno’s 25th anniversary in helping people all over the world recover from alcohol addiction and drug addiction. Additionally, Retorno’s flagship facility in Israel is celebrating its 18th anniversary. In Hebrew, 18 is represented by the two letters yud and chet, which together form the word “chai” –life. Retorno is proud of their accomplishments, and even prouder of over 1,000 graduates of their rehab programs.

Retorno’s treatment combines the world-famous 12 step program, which has been helping addicts recover for 80 years, and an intensive therapeutic approach which gets to the root causes of the addiction.

Retorno treats approximately 120 people (men, women, and youth) at any given time in its inpatient facility. The program is a long-term rehab which gives the tools for long-term recovery from addiction.

Retorno’s outpatient facility, Mifgashim, treats over 100 clients at a time. Mifgashim uses a tried and true treatment program that takes place while people maintain their jobs, families, education, etc. The outpatient rehab program at Mifgashim is also based on the 12 steps, in conjunction with group and individual therapy, along with weekly one-on-one meetings with a sponsor.

Retorno is the world’s largest Jewish drug and alcohol rehab center. Retorno treats drug addiction, alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, internet addiction, sex addiction, food addiction, computer addiction, shopping addiction, and codependency.

Retorno’s outreach and prevention activities host over 25,000 attendees every year. Students, soldiers, health care professionals, and community leaders attend one- to three-day seminars to learn how to identify addiction and its warning signs, and how to touch their own emotional world for healthy living.

Retorno’s holistic approach involves therapeutic horseback riding, animal assisted therapy, and community education.
