Aquasheep is eco-friendly without any petroleum and more importantly, the biker can easily rinse off the lube just with water. The purpose of this product is to make bicycles as eco-friendly as possible. Bikers need not have to anymore rely on harmful petroleum to lubricate their gears and chains.

It all started when a survey was conducted among US cyclists to gather details about their chain-cleaning habits. It was found that 10% of the respondents used either gasoline or other petroleum distillates for removing the lube from the chain. Remaining 90% of respondents used other different chemicals for this purpose. The result was that they were forced to spend more than 10 minutes to clean their chains and for some, it even takes 20 minutes. To avoid this, many cyclists never lube their chains. However, this resulted in noisy bikes for them. So, this product came as an answer to the founder Sam Hopkins when he asked himself “Why not invent an eco-friendly chain lube that can hold up to rain and puddles, but be easily removed using only water?”
