There is an important announcement by Engineers Australia that from now onwards they will be accepting PTE Academic test (Pearson’s Test of English Academic). This will be applicable from 1st of November 2017 and after that, you can also apply on the basis of PTE Test instead of IELTS or TOEFL.
Those applicants who are applying on 1st of November 2017 or after this mentioned date will be allowed to submit their PTE score if they want to provide it as a replacement of IELTS or TOEFL test results. The minimum score in each of the four modules named as writing, listening, speaking, and writing that will be acceptable by Engineers Australia in case of PTE Academic test.
Engineers Australia will not accept any general version of PTE test, only the academic versions will be considered in this case. While with respect to IELTS and TOEFL test, the applicants can provide both general and academic versions. And one thing that is a very important thing and requires your attention is that all the three tests should only be less than 2 years old at your submission time.
As Engineers Australia is accepting both general and academic versions of IELTS so the minimum score in four different modules of IELTS test is as follows
In addition to IELTS test, the acceptance of both general and academic versions of TOEFL was started from 1st of January 2016 by Engineers Australia.
