So astrology is a type of observation. In Vedic era the great philosophers, “Rishi” and other enlightened persons tries to observe how human beings receive sorrow, failure, success etc with time. As in vedic era clocks were not present they had to take the help of the motions of celestial bodies to determine time ( Some time we even see the position of sun to determine whether it is afternoon, evening etc). They used the critical calculation to relate the time to human emotions. They tried to find some patterns of similarities which links them. They they wrote the similarities on Veda. Moreover the invented some tricks to easily remember those rules and patterns. This is why the astrological charts were invented. This is based on pure observation. Everything in science is a result of observation. Some of them are experimentally verified. But observation and imagination is the main thing to discover something. That is why science can not say whether something is true or not(because it is our observation which leads us to the conclusion). There are many phenomenon in science which was thought to be true at first but later it was explained differently ( with different theory). So no one can say that wat we see are completely true or false. It is our observation and imagination at all. So Astrology is also such an observation. This need more research.
