Hyderabad, April 23, 2025:
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Telangana State strongly condemns the horrific terrorist attack that took place on April 22 at the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where militants affiliated with The Resistance Front (TRF) opened fire on a group of Hindu tourists, killing 28 innocent civilians and injuring many more. This inhuman act, targeting unarmed civilians, is one of the deadliest in recent times and a direct assault on peace, humanity, and national integrity.
Dr. Duvvuru Dwarakanatha Reddy, President of IMA Telangana, expressed deep sorrow and anger over the incident, stating, "This heinous crime is an assault not only on the victims but on the very fabric of our nation's unity. We stand firmly with the families of the victims and demand stringent action from both the State and Central Governments to ensure justice and prevent such tragedies in the future."
