Street Rod Nationals East Returns to York for summer 2021

The National Street Rods Association is bringing Street Rod Nationals East back to York,
Pennsylvania this summer. Street Rod Nationals East has been held in York for many years, and
2021 will mark the 40-year anniversary of the city hosting one of NSRA’s biggest events.
Last year’s show was canceled amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, but NSRA has worked hard to
bring the show back for this year. The show usually brings in about 3,000 cars of all variety –
street rods, customs, muscle cars, you name it, and Street Rods East has it. According to NSRA.
“An all-time high number of participants and spectators are expected this year.”
The Street Rod Nationals East brings in more than just cars, it also brings in in manufacturers
and vendors from all across the East Coast. Spectators can enjoy strolling through vendor stands,
as well as taking a stop in Women’s World, where there are exhibitors who have things men and
women, and children will all enjoy.
Among these vendors will be Jay Smith, who will be representing Backyard Buddy Automotive
Lifts at Street Rod Nationals East this weekend. Smith has over 35 years of experience with cars
and automotive lifts and is an excellent resource for anyone looking into purchasing a Backyard
Buddy lift.
Smith is also a car enthusiast, who enjoys restoring and collecting classic cars. Currently, Smith
is working on restoring a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible and has several other vehicles in
his garage.
The lift Smith will be displaying, and operating is the Backyard Buddy “Big Buddy” lift. This lift
is a four-post lift that is wide enough to accommodate newer and larger trucks without needing to
jump up to a bulkier lift. The lift posts are 104” and the floor footprint of the big buddy is L 208”
x W 124”. The lift on display at Street Rod Nationals East will be available for purchase this
weekend at a special show price.
Spectators will have the opportunity not only to see the Big Buddy lift in person, but to see it in
action as well. Smith will be showing interested patrons how the lift works throughout the
weekend.
