Addmen Developers have highlighted the following five main components that make an OMR sheet.
• Index points are the most essential component that determines the compatibility of an OMR sheet with the OMR software. These are black marks found on all four corners of the OMR sheet and the accuracy of sheet evaluation depends largely on the placement and clarity of these index points.
• Unique ID Blocks are essential for giving a unique identity to each OMR sheet. In case of OMR answer sheets, this ID is generally the candidate roll no, and in case of OMR forms, the unique ID is typically the serial no. or the form no. Unique IDs can either be digitally printed numbers or can even be a barcode.
• Test ID Blocks are introduced in OMR answer sheets to help the software recall the test definition and thus evaluate the sheets as per the corresponding defined test parameters. Test ID blocks also enable the software to confine to a specific marking scheme and distribute the scores across various sections of the test sheet.
• Response Blocks are typically different types of matrix OMR blocks that deliver different outputs. In OMR test sheets, response blocks are the question blocks that are solved by the candidates and which need to be evaluated by the software based on the answer responses of the candidates. Whereas for an OMR survey form, these blocks are the different blocks used to facilitate data collection.
• Text Blocks are generally open text fields provided to facilitate printing of candidate information and the institute name and logo.
All the above mentioned important components are supported by Addmen OMR software and hence the software can adequately
