It comes in Virgin Active’s marque red vinyl colour matched with frameless balustrades. Active Metal completed the steel and glazed balustrades to the two main voids and on the climbing wall zone.

Completely Fitted Stairway

Aside from the structural steel and glazed balustrades, the project also features timber treads and ramp and wall handrails. In addition, the Sydney-based architectural staircase and balustrade specialist included boxing bag carriages and rails, ballet barre rails and support framing to the yoga zone.

This Moore Park project was actually the second time that Active Metal worked for Virgin Active. The company completed the health club’s Pitt St stairs and balustrades before, resulting in a dynamic fitout.
