VPG+ software is a trademark integrated system provided by SCS Concept. It is a productivity enhancing smart tooling solutions which is currently being delivered to 10 different Alstom plants in India, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and the USA. In 2019 Alstom’s decision focused on working with a single supplier for software on a global scale at the beginning of the global solution partnership process between the two parties. There are two main factors which played a crucial role in this decision:
VPG+ Software can be customized and developed according to customer needs.
VPG+ Software can be integrated into many brands, products and models.
VPG+ Software is based on a worldwide cloud-based system provided to Alstom by Microsoft and protected by high and up-to date security protocols. The two companies have already created a roadmap for the use of VPG+ at Alstom facilities for the coming years. Additionally, SCS Concept also provides hardware in the form of our Freedom 4S wrenches and our cooperation with Alstom, one of the most important players in the mobility sector, continues to develop.
