Milan, Italy - July 1, 2023 - Bergamo-based indie-pop project, Alaska Blue, is set to embark on their highly anticipated first European tour, captivating audiences with their heartfelt melodies and soulful lyrics. Comprising Elisabetta Giordano on lead vocals and piano, Davide Casi on guitar, Marcello Norrito on drums, and Gabriele Valsecchi on bass, Alaska Blue has captured the hearts of fans with their enchanting music.

Alaska Blue's musical journey began in the winter of 2018 when singer-songwriter Elisabetta and guitarist Davide fortuitously crossed paths during a piano class. United by their shared love for music and wanderlust, they soon began captivating audiences as street artists during the summer of the same year. In 2019, their musical partnership blossomed into the acoustic duo known as Alaska Blue, and they released their debut single, 'Outsider', the following year.

A pivotal moment arrived in 2022 when Alaska Blue unleashed their first album, 'Under the Weather.' This enchanting collection features eight sweet and elusive songs characterized by mellow atmospheres, acoustic nuances, soulful vocals, and captivating melodies. The mesmerizing fourth track, 'Blue Shelter', showcases a refined and experimental sound, largely influenced by musician and close friend, Francesco Roncalli, who produced the song.

Drawing inspiration from Elisabetta's involvement in a hometown gospel choir, Alaska Blue's music showcases a distinctly dense and emotional vocal style, contributing to the soulful essence of their compositions. Their introspective lyrics delve into individual fears and struggles within societal frameworks, providing a keen exploration of the human condition.

To further enrich their sound, drummer Marcello Norrito and bass player, as well as opera singer, Gabriele Valsecchi, joined Alaska Blue in 2022, transforming the duo into a full-fledged band. This collaboration infused their music with a groovy touch and a richer, more vibrant sound.

Alaska Blue's unique blend of influences, including Celeste, Nick Drake, Fabrizio de Andrè, Pink Floyd, Joao Gilberto, Norah Jones, and Kings of Convenience, culminates in a captivating and resonant sound that resonates with audiences.

Alaska Blue's upcoming European tour promises to captivate audiences through a series of intimate and enchanting performances. The journey commences on June 1st in Seriate, Bergamo, Italy, with the band's captivating presence also gracing various locations in Northern Italy, including a special performance with Sofar Sounds in Brescia.

In July, Alaska Blue will treat audiences to their mesmerizing music in two picturesque hostels, including Milano on August 6th and Como on July 7th, near the beautiful lake. The band will then embark on a journey through the scenic landscapes of Tuscany, performing in venues such as Volterra, Castagneto Carducci, and La Rosa Terricciola, as well as captivating audiences as street artists throughout the region.

Adding to the excitement, Alaska Blue has unveiled their latest musical offering, "Salinity," a 4-song EP that continues their exploration of acoustic sounds. Scheduled for release on July 21st, this enchanting EP creates a summery atmosphere elevated by warm and elegant vocals, bringing a touch of soul to the compositions. The songs on "Salinity" tackle themes such as social norms, inner conflicts, and self-awareness, always set against maritime backdrops.

The journey continues on July 29th as Alaska Blue showcases their talent in Berlin at Artliners Berlin, followed by captivating street performances throughout the city. The band will then share their music as street artists in Paris before culminating in London, where they will grace the streets and enchant audiences at The Macbeth on August 5th. An additional secret show in collaboration with Sofar Sounds near Piccadilly Circus adds to the excitement. Returning to Italy, they will perform in Sicignano degli Alburni on August 19th, followed by a performance in Rome on August 22nd.

Alaska Blue's tour promises to be a musical journey filled with enchanting melodies, captivating performances, and soulful connections with audiences. Don't miss the opportunity to experience their evocative music firsthand.
