Fall is coming, and while Floridians aren’t expecting a snowstorm, they can expect temperatures to drop in the northern parts of the state. AB Insulation is ready to help homeowners and landlords get their residencesin peakcondition for the coming cold. Even if you think your home is in tip-top shape, you’ll want to take advantage ofthis fantastic offer.
Checking the Status of Your Insulation
You lose the majority of the heat in your home through the roof, which means that the attic is the best place to start our inspection. We will begin by examining the attic insulation and checking it’s depth, type, and the quality of the insulation that was used initially whether it is standard insulation or more efficient sprayfoam. Following that, we will check the condition of the insulation to determine whether or not it has degraded over time.
Measuring the Attic Surfaces
All surfaces in the attic must be measured including:
• Attic Ceilings
• Knee-Walls
• Slopes
• Domed Ceilings
Once the surfaces are measured, we will determine the R-Value of yourinsulation along with the R-Value of your duct system.
Duct Inspection
During the inspection, we will examine all attic ductwork for leaks. Ducts, however, are not the only suspect when it comes to air leaks! There are alsoadditional attic access points such as wall top plates, recessed light cans, drop down soffits, bathroom vent fans, and much more. With the amount of ductwork that ultimately runs through the attic and multiple access entrance points, it is no surprise that so much air is redirected there, creating an increased opportunity for heat and energy loss through your roof.
Attic Cleaning
Over the course of the inspection, we will also check your attic for potential code violations that could lead to fines if the city performsan inspection of their own. By identifying these violations, we give you a chance to get them fixed.Part of examining the attic and getting it up to code is clearing out the debris and even checking for water damage. This thorough inspection of your attic will giveyou peace of mind, and the satisfaction of knowing that your home is ready to face cooler weather this fall.
Save Money This Fall With Better Energy Efficiency
Air leaks in your home or rental property are a waste of money. The more air that escapes, the harder your heater works, and the harder it works, the more energy it wastes. Wasted energy translates into hundreds or even thousands of dollars of wasted money, andthat can be an extremely negative but also completely avoidable experience.

Don’t worry! We have the experience and the capability to make sure that you willhead into the fall season thisyear with a stable roof and the right amount of insulation you need to make it through without freezing or running up your power bill. If you think your residence might need an inspection or even some work, don’t hesitate to call us.We will get the job done.
