Newark, NJ (October 18th 2019) -While the topic of gun violence has become a major talking point during this election cycle, it’s been a continuing crisis in most inner cities. In response, ABF Creative launches Through Her Eyes, a narrative podcast that gives the stories behind those statistics. Each episode of the 4-part series will feature an exclusive interview with a mother of a child lost to gun violence, heightened by sound design that is immersive and engaging. The podcast is now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and www.HerEyes.co.

Each mother’s riveting interview will be released weekly, beginning October 18th featuring Paulina Bryan of Orange, NJ, whose son Jordan Bryan was killed in 2016. October 29th features Sharon Bagley of Orange, NJ, mother of football star Malcolm Bagley who was killed in 2012. On November 5th, the final part features Sonia Rogers of Newark, NJ, who lost all 3 of her sons over a span of 55 months from 2011 and 2015.

The podcast is executive produced by Newark-based ABF Creative. “When you listen to this podcast you’ll hear the diversity in the scenarios, which is key in helping America understand this crisis,” says CEO, Anthony Frasier. “There are so many mommies like me that need support. I want to let them know they are not alone. It’s not an easy thing to go through. This is why I thought it was important to lend my voice to this podcast.” Says Paulina Bryan, who is featured in the first episode.

Gun violence is the first-leading cause of death among black children according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
