The Australian team will take on the Pakistan National Cricket Team team in the 5-match ODI series which will be held in UAE from March 22nd onwards. The first two matches of the series will be played in Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was expecting to host the series in Pakistan itself but the Cricket Australia (CA) was not convinced by them and they decided to host it in the UAE. PCB Director Cricket - International, Zakir Khan, said: "Australia are the world champions and this series will provide the Pakistan cricket team an opportunity to assess their World Cup preparations,"

Before the start of the series against Pakistan, the Australian team is going to play against India National Cricket Team in India which will start from Feb 24 and will consist of 2 T20Is followed by 5 ODIs.

As we know that the Australian National Cricket Team is the defending champions of the Cricket World Cup as they have won the 2015 CWC under the captaincy of the Michael Clarke, so it will be a good opportunity for both India and Pakistan to boost their confidence if they beat the Kangaroos in the series.

Recently the good news came for the Australian fans is that the three-time World Cup winning Captain Ricky Ponting will join the Australian squad for the CWC 2019 as the assistant coach. It will be good for the team and Ricky Ponting is also expecting the team as the favourite contender for CWC 2019 if Steve Smith and David Warner join the squad before the CWC 2019.
