At Cast Off Sailing, we hold whale watching adventure tours, which last for three and a half hours, from December to March, when gray whales migrate down to California and Mexico.

A whale watching adventure gives people a unique glimpse of the sprout and enormous tailfin when one of them breaches the surface. Breaching occurs when the whale takes a giant leap, breaking the surface of the water and then falling back into the water with a thunderous sound. You can also hear whale songs, which are used by humpback whales for communication. You may also see sea lions, otters and other interesting creatures as well.
