The entire beauty and wellness industry seemed to have come under one roof on 26th September 2022. This special thing happened on the occasion of the Global Spa Awards 2022. Like all the previous editions of this distinct awards ceremony, this one was also a great success and exuberantly celebrated the work of top wellness experts in the country.

This year’s event was based on the theme “sustainability”, which was evident even from the event’s décor. Read on to know more about the celebrations.

The Event Sponsors
This year’s Global Spa Awards had Episode Silver as its trophy partner, St. Regis Mumbai as its hospitality partner, MGC Global as its audit partner, and Living Liquids as its celebration partner. That’s not all. The event was presented in partnership with Austria Tourism.

These are a few names that have performed impressively in their respective fields. Their association added more splendour to the already vivacious awards ceremony.

About the Awardees
As the event was about the best wellness centres, beauty, and glamour, it’s needless to say that it was attended by some of the biggest stars the country has at the moment. These include big personalities from the television and film industries, the most followed social media influencers, famous chefs, top nutrition experts, as well as some rising stars from different industries. Additionally, the list of attendees also included representatives of all the prominent spa and wellness centres in India.

The host of the evening was the gorgeous Mandira Bedi, who herself is a true epitome of well-being and grace. There were over 60 awards given to popular wellness centres, spas, spa professionals, and exotic destinations. The list of awardees includes both names that have already made it big and new entrants with great futures.

Some of the most prominent names in the list of awardees are luxury destination spa Ananda in the Himalayas, Kerala’s wellness centre CGH Earth Swaswara, J W Marriott of Maldives, and so on. Sonu Sood, the Bollywood star with a golden heart, received the award for his humanitarian acts during the torrid times of the pandemic.

Internationally acclaimed chef Vikash Khanna received the award for being the best philanthropist of the year. For those who don’t know, chef Khanna organised the biggest food drive to feed people in distress.
The award for this year’s fashion trailblazer went to actress Tamanah Bhatia. Palak Tiwari and Rohit Saraf, on the other hand, received awards for being talents of the next generation. Model and actress Dia Mirza, who also happens to be a UN Ambassador, received an award for being the most avid environmentalist of the last decade. She received the award for the work she has done for sustainability and environment conservation.
The award for being the rising star of 2022 went to Sharvari Wagh. The actress looked scintillating in her white outfit. However, the beauties who ruled the evening were the “fabulous Bollywood wives”, Neelam Kothari, Bhavna Pande, Seema Sajdeh, and last but not least Maheep Kapoor. Together, they received the award titled,
“The Style Squad”.

Neelam, who is a veteran Bollywood actress, looked ecstatic while receiving the award. She described the award as an extremely special experience as it’s the first award for their glamorous show.

The award for the year’s most sustainable performer went to Mrunal Thakur for her remarkable performances in various films. Tejassvi Prakash and her beau Karan Kundrra were awarded for being this year’s Power Couple.
Some other big names who were present at the event venue were Anshuka Parwani (yoga guru), Yasmin Karachiwala (celebrity fitness instructor), Pooja Makhija (nutritionist), Tannuj Garg (film producer), Shipra Khanna (chef), etc.

The event has always been a great success. This edition is no different. This proves that people are not only in love with the magazine but have also started to believe in the importance of wellness. GlobalSpa’s publisher and editor Parineeta Sethi thanked her readers and those present at the event venue for the support the magazine has received over the years.

Sethi mentioned that she is happy to see how people are focusing more on wellness nowadays instead of running after curative measures. She added that the growing popularity of the magazine shows that the coming years will be dedicated to natural healing treatment and wellness.
