Bluechipworld Sales and Marketing Ltd in Cannock and Röhlig have signed a long term trading contract for their air and sea freight from Hong Kong/South China into the UK. Röhlig have provided logistics solutions for Bluechipworlds’ brands of electronics products since an initial trial in 2013. Their decision to progress to a long term relationship is due to Rohlig’s improved communication, reduced risk of damage in transit of goods, better service levels and the cost savings realised.
Röhlig operations staff are very pro-active in their contacts with customers. For Bluechipworld this means extensive communication via phone and via Röhlig’s global online cargo management system to give real-time information about the status of shipments. A summary is then sent by email that confirms this information. The majority of goods for Bluechipworld arrive by airfreight, on average 0-3 shipment per week. The annual freight is approximately 130 – 140 tonnes of airfreight. There are some goods sent by LCL & FCL sea route.
