Kansas City's Northland outdoor shopping center, Zona Rosa, will celebrate the near completion of the first phase of their multi-million-dollar, multi-phased redevelopment plan, with the opening of Central Park. Central Park is located just north of Bravo! Italian Kitchen restaurant. The family-oriented park will include an all-new green space, fountains, a children's play area, shaded swings, covered seating areas, and an updated main stage for concerts and events. 

Zona Rosa will commemorate the opening of Central Park with a community celebration Saturday, September 18, beginning at 11:00 with food trucks, a performance by the Kansas City Symphony's Mobile Music Box followed up by music from DJ Rusty Turner, face painting, and so much more. The center is also asking for community support for Feed Northland Kids, a charitable partner of the center. Donations of mac n' cheese cups will be used in their "Food for Thought" school pantry program. The first 100 to bring a donation will receive a free treat!
