I am always so impressed with the amount of time and attention to detail that goes into these cosplay designs. I am SO intimidated as I can't sew and the thought of the cost to buy something custom made is just overwhelming. Every time I go to Comic Con I always think "ok, this year I'm going to make/ wear something to show my love of the thing I like" and then I just don't and throw on a Doctor Who T-shirt or something. Partly it is because I honestly couldn't think of a anime costume in which my body would feel physically comfortable/ not overly revealing yet at the same time flattering and partly it is because there are SO many things I like, I would have a hard time picking one character and basically defining myself as that character every time I go. I guess that's the whole thing about real cosplaying that I could never get. I like so many things. Ya know what I'm saying?
It NEEDS to be renamed best that I BOTHERED TO FIND during my search of cosplay over several days. I COULD post literally THOUSANDS of Cosplay Pics from 2012 that far outdo any of the shots in this article...but the amount of time is prohibitive in order to make the deadline by the end of the year. The author if this LAZY article should have started this article over 2 months ago and found the BEST as the title of the article states. Instead we get this article that SHOWS AN APPARENT LACK OF INTEREST in the subject of the article to even FIND the best. There is so MANY GREAT cosplays out there that was NOT included leads me to believe that the author didn't give a whit about finding the BEST at all. This article feels rushed in it's selection and should have it's title rewritten to read: "The cosplays I liked enough to include in this article that just pays the bills..."
You're gonna do some cosplaying, eh? Well whatever you do, if you're thinking 'bout cosplaying characters from Naruto, One Piece and Bleach, I'm STRONGLY against it. Why you ask? Because in cosplay competitions and festivals, most people are already bored with characters from these titles. In each and every cosplay comps, well, what I usually see is almost 60% of the contestants choose to cosplay as Naruto, Ichigo, Luffy, etc etc. Just think of other characters that are as interesting and popular as characters from these animes.
