After the release of curtain design function in early autumn, 4design has been developing mosaic design function continuously. Now this feature was online and under testing.

"In early versions, customers can make mosaic design in tile design function. However, the design function is so simple that can’t meet customers’ need." said Sanders Zhao, the R&D team leader of 4design software, "So after adding curtain design module, we are mainly focus on the development of mosaic design."

With this new mosaic design module, 4Design can directly transform pictures into mosaic particles or upload the particles and make mosaic designs with them. When using picture-transform method, 4design can list the every using particle and calculate the amount of each particle. When generating mosaic design from uploaded particles, there are some options for choose.

First is random design. With this option, 4design will use the particles randomly to generate the work. "If you generate mosaic design with same particles twice in this method, you will get totally different designs." said Sanders Zhao. Second is using gradient color method. There are three gradient modes. The difference of them is the sparse degree and the direction of gradient.

After generating the mosaic designs, the particles can be replaced with specified units. "You can either replace a single unit or change the particles in a selected area according to your favorite." Sanders Zhao introduce the mosaic design features.

After getting the mosaic designs, 4design can also show the intuitive effect of them in real rooms.
