Commercial construction projects involve a complex set of procedures.  Marquee Builds’ Five-Stage Construction Process guides clients each step of the way, from initial concepts all the way to successful on-site completion and the resolution of all necessary administration.

Commercial construction projects can be big or small, involve a new-build, an extension or alteration.  They necessitate questions of design, technical problems, the management of materials and workers, legal requirements and logistical issues.  

Marquee Builds use their commercial construction experience to divide complex projects into a standard sequence of phases.  For the client, carefully breaking down the construction process into clear, manageable stages transforms an intimidating undertaking into a set of achievable steps, with a clear timeline and sequence of events.   As well as helping clients to understand the progression of the project, it also helps them plan more effectively and to anticipate and avoid any possible pitfalls. 

Stage 1: Conceptual Design

Marquee Builds always start the process by listening carefully to the client.  Understanding the client’s needs and vision is the basis of any successful project.  The project objectives is then developed into conceptual drawings for the client to review.  At this stage we work closely with the client on issues of feasibility, zoning, timelines, and budget.

Stage 2: Construction Drawing Package

Once the initial, conceptual drawings have been reviewed, Marquee Builds produces a detailed drawing package.  Alongside the plans, we also finalize the project budget and produce a detailed timeline.

Stage 3: Permit Drawings

Permission for construction needs to be approved by the relevant authorities.  The project cannot move on site until construction has been legally approved. Marquee Builds uses the detailed drawing package to make submissions to municipalities in order to obtain all necessary building permits.  

Stage 4 : Project Execution 

With the paperwork in place it is time for the project to move ‘onsite’.  This is when your project management company plays a vital role in determining whether your project runs efficiently. Detailed planning is essential for successful work on-site.  Marquee Builds ensures each stage of the project schedule is completed exactly to the required specifications, on time and to budget.     

Stage 5: Construction Administration
